Costa Rica has a tropical climate. The weather is very changeable all year round, especially in the mountains of the central cordillera. The country generally has two seasons: the dry season and the wet season: the dry season from November to April, and the rainy season from May to October – November.
On the Caribbean coast, most of the year the weather is humid, with a little less precipitation between January and April. In the Pacific as in the mountains, the dry season from November to April, and the rainy season from May to October – November. In the northern Pacific coast, in Guanacaste and Nicoya, the dry season is particularly marked, with very little rain between December and April.
It should be remembered that during the wet season it rarely rains all day, and there are obviously fewer tourists. In any case you will have sun and heat all year round in Costa Rica!
