DETAILED PROGRAMME

Day 1: Visit of Golfito. Located in the heart of Golfo dulce, the town of Golfito is a place whose Banana architecture has been much better preserved than in other towns of the United Fruit Company. The United fruit company to shape the city from scratch. After visiting the emblematic places of this one, enjoy the sunset over the city. Night in Golfito. 

Day 2: Departure for the Gambas hike, departure from Golfito for a trek in the Piedras Blancas National Park, 4-hour hike in primary forest to arrive on the coast where a boat will be waiting for you to cross the gulf. Crossing the Golfo dulce (45 min), observation of marine fauna (dolphins, turtles, schools of fish and rays) and arrival in Puerto Jimenez. 

Day 3: Departure at dawn for Corcovado National Park and trek (6 hours) to Sirena station. You are at the heart of one of the most biologically intense areas on the planet, where you can observe almost all the Costa Rican fauna. The 4 species of monkeys, the tapir, the anteaters, hordes of coati, the puma and even the jaguar. Corcovado is a must-see for any naturalist. (Overnight in Sirena). 

Day 4: day in Sirena. Walk the trails of Sirena in the company of your guide, live a unique experience, a safari in the middle of the jungle. Lazy afternoon on the banks of the Rio Claro river and night in Sirena. 

Day 5: departure for Sierpe from Sirena. 2 hours by boat to leave the heart of Corcovado National Park, go up the Sierpe River and enter the largest mangrove in the country. Wildlife viewing. Arrived at Sierpe, departure towards Palmar sur, visit of the park of Palmar Sur, former botanical garden of the United fruit company the park has superb trees but especially discover the famous pre-Columbian spheres of the Diquis culture. These spheres, perfectly round and unique in the world, were discovered by the banana company when it set up in the region in the 1930s.
